Ok, so it's going on the third week of my bathroom remodel. Although it feels like it's been forever. I've made some progress. My great friend Gary has been helping me and thanks to my neighbor I have an overhead vent light. It still looks like a mess but hopefully after the last of the plumbing gets done it will go a lot quicker. Here are some pictures in the mean time.

Ok so I'm in the middle of a bathroom remodel right now and don't have the time to work on other things but I never stop looking for things to redo. So my friend Julie and I were driving down the road last night when I saw this on someones curb with a free sign on it. I just had to have it. So I stopped and said we are so putting this in my car right now. We managed to get it in there and away we went. It has some damage to it. It looks like some kind of animal chewed on it but it doesn't take away from the beauty of it in my eyes. I can't wait to start on it as soon as I'm done with my bathroom. And even though I have no where to put it and may have to sell it doesn't even matter. I took some quick pics on my cell as I was leaving for work this morning. So they are not the greatest. I will post better ones later.

So the bathroom is coming along. Much slower than I would like. I thought I could knock this out in a week. Boy was I wrong. I have two walls that now have drywall on them. Thanks to my great and wonderfull friend Gary. As soon as I get that done I can put the tub in and start on the tile. Have I mentioned that I can't wait to have this done. I never want to shower in my basement again. I will post more pictures later of the updates.

I got this antique desk at my local Encore thrift store for $10 dollars. I painted it a light blue and distressed it and put some polyurethane on it because it will be in the bathroom. I got the knobs at Menards and they will go great with the faucets I bought. Can't you just see it with the sink and faucets on it. I sure can. Can't wait to get it all done. I will post the finale pics when I'm all done.

And so it starts. I hadn't planned on do quite so much in my bathroom to update it. However living in a house that's over a hundred years old can sometimes be a pain. While removing the old tile board from the walls it pulled most of the old plaster off with it. So I decided to just knock the rest off and start from there. So here is the before. Although I'm quite embarrassed to even show you because I hated it so much. I will be glad when this ugly white tile is gone. Will do updates when I can. Wish me luck. And yes that ceiling is sponge painted and no I didn't do that.
