French Style Beffet..Or at least I think it is..

So in the area I live in there has been several new groups popping up on Facebook. They are classifieds for different towns and surrounding areas. They are pretty neat and you can either buy or sell items depending on your needs. Well this is the kind of site that I found this buffet from. It had chunks taken out on the legs. Peeling veneer. It had huge stains on the top. Basically it was a mess. However I don't seem to be able to pass up a good challenge or a great deal. Well I got this baby for a whopping $15 dollars. I decided to try something different and make my own chalk paint. Well it was interesting. When I mixed it up it looked very grainy but when I put it on it went on very nicely and covered very well. I put on two coats and it looked really good. the only problem I had was when I was trying to glaze it. I usually use a damp cloth to remove the glaze but when I did this time it seemed to remove quite a bit of the paint. So not a good idea. I did it with a dry rag instead. The glaze was a little darker than I had wanted but I was happy with the results. I lined the two swing out compartments with some fabric I have and there you go.
