On to much bigger tables

Ok so I am really horrible about taking before pictures as I've stated before. Well it applies to this table as well. I've been wanting a bigger dining table for a while but couldn't find one I was happy with or if I did it was already taken. Story of my life. Anyway I found this table at my favorite thrift store for a whopping $25 bucks. It was so mine but let me tell you now this thing is so heavy. Even my 19 year old son complained about lifting it. Well after thinking about what I wanted to do I set to work on it. I have been wanting to do something in stripes so I decided that's what I would do to the top of this one and then painted the bottom a different color. So I painted the table top white, let it dry and than measured and taped off it off. I than mixed up a glaze that was a really light gray and did the stripes. After that dried I mixed up a slightly off white glaze and did the whole top after I had destressed it a bit. I than painted the bottom in the same green I did my cute little table in. I destressed it and glazed it up, waxed the top with a clear wax and here we are. I also finished all my chairs to go along with it. It's different but I really like it. Hope you guys do to. Have a good weekend.
