Bathroom Reveal..It's finally done.

Well after a year and a half my bathroom is finally done and I couldn't be happier. When all said and done I think I spent about $2,500. I did a lot of the work myself but also had help from some amazing guys too. I love it so much. It's so fresh and clean and no sponge painted. Lol. Here are the before and after pictures. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do.

Here's a breakdown of some of the things in here.
The vanity is an old desk that I redid. I think I paid maybe five dollars for it. I had to cut the middle drawer because of the plumbing.

The vanity light I picked up at the thrift store for $1.99. It was brass so I sprayed it with some metallic spray paint that I had.

The mirror is two pieces. The top part is pretty much scrap wood and left over trim.

The towel hanger is a piece of the old baseboard. I just painted it and rubbed it with some stain and put some hooks on it.

I reused all of the old trim and mouldings. This not only saved on cost but I loved the this stuff. You can't find this stuff unless you have it made. It's very solid. It's not perfect but I think that adds character. The crown and chair rail are new.

The bead board panels I got free from my friend Gary. I love him..

I used some left over fabric for the vanity and the valance.

The picture on the wall is something that I painted in literally five minutes.

I used marine paint on the window in the shower. Hopefully this holds up.

Everything else I looked and looked until I got the best deals.

To view more of the before and durning pictures just go to my 2011 post and check them out. Quite a difference.

  1. Great job! I love the blue!

My bathroom is on my 'to do' list and I was thinking about using a dresser as a vanity but I just haven't found the right one yet.

    1. When I started I looked at tons of vanities and just didn't like any of the ones I saw. I picked this up at the thrift store for about five bucks and knew that was it. Keep looking and good luck.
